Every year, Love INC of the Lakes Region connects its partner church volunteers to the families in our local communities. Together, we are able to not only help meet their needs, but meet each person where they’re at. Caring for them holistically, our neighbors are met with dignity and respect, while our partner churches are free to focus on serving according to their strengths. The result? Transformed lives. Transformed churches. And transformed community.

“They help a lot. There’s a lot of stuff I was not thinking about. Being a single parent, you don’t think about getting the tree and putting ornaments on it. Having five kids means having a load of laundry every day and you just want to cook and clean and sometimes you don’t realize things are happening around you. You get unmotivated and sometimes you miss something here and there. It helps to have people asking me what I’m going to do for decorations. Receiving the gifts from the shopping puts a smile on the kids faces and it helps unburden your financial stuff. It also helps to know there are people out there who genuinely care about you and are wishing you well.” ~Family with five children

She was being evicted, and was going to lose everything. She was completely broke, but managed to get a friend to pay for a storage unit. We helped her pack and move her belongings into storag

She was being evicted, and was going to lose everything. She was completely broke, but managed to get a friend to pay for a storage unit. We helped her pack and move her belongings into storage. We were able to spend time praying with/for her. She is facing multiple medical issues, including cancer. It was a joy and privilege to work together to surround T. with the love of Christ

After working with this family for several months, we were delighted to celebrate the Christian vows of this couple followed by their baptism. Since March our partner churches have been working with them as they’ve struggled through many difficult circumstances. Serving this family in love has helped them come to know Christ as Savior and declare Him in baptism. They’ve become part of a local fellowship and are growing in Christ! We look forward to seeing how God works in and through them! The bride donated all her bridal items for the start of a wedding ministry; she wants to help others by loaning wedding supplies to those who need them through Love INC. God is so good!
